Seniors Learn Push-button Skills Through Technology Program
Sally Levy bought her iPhone 5 in August 2014 however she was a bit lost as she didn’t know how to use it. Good thing there was Gerontechnology, a new program from Village Connections, to help her learn the push-button skills of the modern era.
Village Connections, an organization that helps aging-in-place in German Village, developed Gerontechnology to help seniors not only with their mobile phones but also with computers and remote-control programming as well.
Lauren Post, an intern with Village Connections, said, “We did the baby steps” – email, global positioning systems, social media and other features. I think a lot of members are connected, but they have a lot of questions.”
