Safety Tips for Senior Citizens
According to the President of Right at Home in Knoxville Joy Wilson, making sure senior citizens are extra careful in and around their homes entails a lot of work. She offers some tips on how to improve home safety especially for those 65 years and older living alone.
– Make sure there is always light as seniors’ vision becomes impaired as they age.
– Have your flashlight always near your bed in case the power goes out.
– Have a lamp by the bed that seniors can turn on should they wish to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
