There is an increase in the number of seniors living in Las Vegas. This means that there is greater need now for increasing safety awareness there. That’s because there are many crimes that target seniors.

City officials are helping out the elderly citizens to become more aware.

According to Jackie Valley for the lasvegassun.com, “Metro Police have received 283 complaints of potential abuse, neglect or exploitation of an elderly person so far this year, said Lt. James Weiskopf, who works in the department’s abuse and neglect detail.”
