How to Keep Seniors Safe from Fires
According to studies, the risk of dying from fires in homes without smoke alarms is actually twice as high in homes that have working smoke alarms. In addition, more than 75 percent of seniors who die each year in fires do not have working smoke alarms in their homes.
To help keep your loves ones, especially senior citizens, safe during a fire accident, below are some tips.
– Install an alarm outside of each sleeping area.
– Make sure to keep your smoke alarms clean.
– Test the batteries of your alarms every month.
