How Scam Artists Go About Tricking the Elderly
Scams against the elderly come in a variety of shapes and forms — over the telephone, at the door, or through technology. Many of them would even play on an person’s emotions.
Scam artists usually start by asking for seemingly harmless personal information. Once their victims have given their trust, and therefore the information that they need, they would then use this to access the elderly’s accounts, or to trick the latter into handing them what they want.
