People who are looking to earn easy-money rarely choose their victims. However, they seem to have taken a liking to senior citizens as more and more of the latter are falling victim to the crimes pulled by various advantage takers.
- Validate the identity of the person you’re transacting with before giving off personal and financial information.
- Evaluate e-mails that are claimed to have come from some authority and are requesting for some form of payment.
- Door-to-door schemes are also very common – never let a stranger into your home until he has proven his identity.
