Conduct Home Safety Check to Prevent Falls
Unfortunately, there are a lot of dangers around the home that may cause people to fall. With that, The Health Quality & Safety Commission and ACC are encouraging people to do simples checks in their home to prevent falls. This includes ensuring that rugs lie flat, electrical cords are stowed away safely and that hand rails are in place in bath and shower.
Also, it is important that you take a good look around your home to make sure there no clutter, electrical cords everywhere and slippery surfaces. Keeping active will help reduce the risks of falls or make these falls less serious.
