Free Home Assessment for Safety & Accessibility NJ

Today, we conducted a free home assessment in Long Valley, NJ, focusing on improving safety and accessibility. Our therapist visited and assessed the client’s home and provided an estimate with recommended changes.

First, we took measurements and suggested installing a straight stairlift with a hinge track. The hinge track is an added feature for homes with limited space at the bottom of the steps. The track will fold up so there is no obstructed pathway at the bottom. Then, we evaluated the bathroom and recommended adding grab bars in the tub, as well as replacing the shower doors with a curtain and rod for easier access. Lastly, we evaluated the garage and advised placing an iron triangle by the garage door so the client has something to hold on to.

New Jersey Home Modifications for Safety

Today, we completed modifications in Springfield, NJ, to improve accessibility. To ensure safer entry and exit from the home, we installed a ramp with a platform outside the door. Inside the bathroom, we made several changes. These included replacing the shower doors with a curtain to create a barrier-free shower, as well as adding grab bars, a sliding tub transfer bench, and a Bemis toilet seat riser with handles. Additionally, we set up a lift recliner chair to provide added comfort and support.

Professionally Installed Grab Bars – New Jersey

Today our technician installed grab bars in a home in Port Murray, NJ. We placed two grab bars in the shower and two in the tub. This provides our client with a safer way to enter and exit the shower and tub.

Grab Bar & Stairlift Installation in Randolph, NJ

Today in Randolph, NJ we completed a series of home modifications for a previous client of ours. We installed two stairlifts, one on the garage steps and one on the indoor steps. We also strategically placed five grab bars in the bathroom, 3 which were placed in the shower and tub, and added a toilet seat riser. These modifications further the safety and accessibility of our client’s home.

Home Modifications for Accessibility – Scotch Plains, NJ

In Scotch Plains, New Jersey, our team recently completed four stairlift installations and bathroom modifications. Two of these stairlifts were installed with hinge tracks which are used when there is limited space at the bottom of the stairs. Hinge tracks can be folded up when the stairlift is not in use, allowing for no obstruction at the bottom of the stairs.

In the bathroom, we added grab bars, a handheld shower head, and a raised toilet seat. Additionally, we removed the tub and re-tiled the bathroom, creating a barrier-free shower. Now, our client enjoys a secure and easily accessible bathroom.

We also set up a lift recliner chair for the client. These chairs are designed to offer extra assistance to individuals transitioning from sitting to standing positions. They are helpful to those who require added support and ease of movement.
