Caring for a Senior with Arthritis
It is very impractical for many seniors citizens suffering chronic illnesses to be living alone – their best option is to have somebody take care of them, whether a family member or a hired caregiver. However, for the caregiver, the task can still be really challenging, especially without the proper help and advice needed.
If you’re caring for a senior with arthritis, here are some tips to make the task less challenging:
- Medication should be among your priorities. Keep a schedule of medicine intake and visits to the doctor.
- Encourage your loved one to exercise, eat healthy and socialize.
- Always be around to assist the person in his activities and daily tasks.
