China has released a guideline on enhancing senior care services for elderlies aged 60 and above. The government released 24 departments, including a national working committee on aging, which aim for comprehensive and improved policies and services for the elderly, a more respectful public environment for the and more effective implementation of various policies by 2015.

The new policies urge health institutes to set up health profiles for seniors, provide free health checks, specially designate at least 10 percent of seats for the sick in public transportation vehicles, the disabled, elderlies and for pregnant women.

According to the document, by year 2020, old people will live happier, enjoy more senior care services and better caring capacities.
