Senior Citizen Tips to Avoid Falling and Other Home Accidents
A simple fall accident can lead to serious damage if not addressed immediately. Before such or any other accidents occur to you or your elderly loved one, make sure that you’ve taken all safety precautions to avoid it.
- Get rid of tripping hazards by controlling clutters along the path and using non-slip rugs, such as those with skid backing.
- Install safety devices, such as smoke alarms, and update your first aid kit regularly to stay prepared during emergencies.
- Install grab bars in the bathroom and railing for the stairs, and keep all areas well-lit to avoid falling and tripping.
