Driving is a Key Component to Seniors’ Health
According to a recent study, permanently giving up driving can have a serious impact on seniors’ mental and physical well-being. It was found out that older adults who have stopped driving are twice as likely to suffer from depression.
The cessation of driving can also result in accelerated decline in mental ability over a 10-year period. It can also lessen productivity and lower participation in daily outdoor activities and older adults who stopped driving are five times likely to be admitted to a long term care facility.
