How to Keep Senior Citizens Safe During Summer
As temperatures continue to rise, many people come out to enjoy the last months of summer. But for senior citizens, doing so requires necessary precautions as they are at risk for a heat stroke. Below are some tips on how to keep elderly people safe during summer season.
– Ensure that your elderly loved ones drink plenty of water, juice and other liquids throughout the day.
– Set the air conditioning unit at 70 to 74 degrees to help keep their home comfortable.
– Ensure that seniors are dressed appropriately.
– Stay indoors during the hottest part of the day.
