There are a lot of reasons why senior citizens are being targeted by Internet scammers and identity thieves. As a matter of fact, these defrauders can go after anyone especially that most elderly people who got scammed don’t report to the authorities that they were victimized. Below is a list of things that senior citizens should keep in mind in order to avoid being scammed.
– Never proceed with a money transfer request without verifying the cause.
– Never give out your Social Security Number.
– Be cautious in clicking links in emails.
