Whether it’s a small addition, such as a seat riser, or a full bathroom modification, our goal is always to help clients maintain their independence and confidence at home.

Smooth and Safe Access: Harmar Stairlift with Auto Hinge Installation in Little Falls, Passaic County

October 16, 2025

At Back Home Safely, we recently installed a Harmar stairlift wth an auto hinge for one of our clients to help them safely navigate the stairs in their home. This model was the perfect solution for the entryway. The auto-hinge feature allows the lower section of the rail to lift automatically when the stairlift is not in use, keeping hallways clear and preventing tripping hazards. It’s a great choice for homes with narrow or high-traffic areas near the staircase. Now our client can travel up and down the stairs with ease and peace of mind.

Creating a safe and accessible bathroom is one of the most effective ways to help homeowners maintain their independence. Recently, our team at Back Home Safely completed a bathroom modification for a client. We installed a security pole just outside the shower to provide a sturdy support for entering and exiting. Inside the walk-in shower, we added grab bars to ensure a safe grip in wet areas. To make the toilet area safer, we also installed grab bars in the wall nearby, offering extra balance and support. For added comfort and convenience, we provided a handheld shower head, making it easier for the homeowner to bathe while seated or standing.
