Custom Curve Stairlift Installation in Pine Brook, Morris County NJ

February 26, 2026

We recently completed a Bruno custom curve stairlift installation for a client who needed a reliable way to navigate a uniquely shaped staircase. Unlike straight staircases, curved stairs require a fully customized rail system to ensure a precise fit into the home. For this project, we installed a custom curved rail designed specifically to follow the exact contours of the staircase. This installation not only restored full access to the second floor but also gave our client renewed confidence and independence in their own home. Custom stairlift solutions like this are ideal for homes with curved, spiral, or multi-landing staircases where a standard straight stairlift simply won’t work.

Grab Bar Installation in Tile Shower for Safer Bathing in Newton, Sussex County NJ

February 17, 2026

At Back Home Safely, we recently completed a grab bar installation in a tiled shower, giving our client added stability and peace of mind during daily routines. Bathrooms are one of the most common places for slips and falls – especially in the shower, where surfaces can become wet and slippery. For this project, we strategically placed two grab bars to maximize stability – one for safe entry and exit and one for added support while standing and bathing. We install grab bars in showers to reduce the risk of slips and falls, increase confidence while bathing, support aging in place, and provide stability after surgery or injury.

Installing a Harmar Stairlift with a Power Hinge for Safer Home Access in Short Hills, Essex County NJ

February 13, 2026

At Back Home Safely, we often meet clients who love their homes but struggle with one daily obstacle: the stairs. We completed a stairlift installation that not only restored safe access to the second floor but also solved a common challenge at the bottom of the staircase. For this project, we installed a Harmar Stairlift equipped with a power hinge feature. This upgrade made all the difference for our client and their family. The layout of the home included a doorway directly at the bottom of the staircase. A traditional stairlift rail would have extended into this walkway, creating a tripping hazard and blocking the door’s path. This is a situation we see often in homes, and it’s exactly where the power hinge feature becomes essential. The power hinge allows the bottom section of the rail to automatically fold up and out of the way when the stairlift is not in use.

Safe and Accessible Outdoor Ramp Installation for Easy Home Entry in Westfield, Union County NJ

February 11, 2026

At Back Home Safely, we believe that every home should be easy and safe to enter – no matter the mobility challenges a homeowner may face. Recently, our team installed a custom outdoor ramp for a client who was having difficulty navigating the steps leading into their home. Our goal was to create a smooth, secure, and accessible entryway that allowed the homeowner to enter and exit their home with confidence. This ramp now allows for easy wheelchair and walker access and eliminates the fall risk previously caused by the stairs. Outdoor ramp installations are one of the most effective home modifications for improving accessibility and independence. Whether temporary or permanent, a properly installed ramp can make a life-changing difference for homeowners recovering from surgery, aging in place, or living with mobility limitations.

Custom Oak Stair Railing Installation in Pompton Lakes, Passaic County NJ

January 29, 2026

A secure handrail can make all the difference when it comes to stair safety – without sacrificing the look of your home. In this recent project, our team installed a custom oak stair railing inside our client’s home to improve safety while complementing their existing interior design. Projects like this are a great example of how home modifications for safety can be both functional and visually appealing. Whether it’s aging in place, recovering from an injury, or simply adding extra support, a custom stair railing can help reduce fall risks and increase confidence when navigating stairs.
