Many senior citizens are still very capable of driving safely. However, for others, impaired vision, decline of cognitive function, and other age-related complications, have put a serious toll on their performance. Here are some signs that your elderly loved one should quit driving:
- there are dents and scratches on the car and/or scrapes on the mailbox or garage
- he has been in an accident or had frequent close calls
- he has multiple traffic tickets or warnings
- he gets lost going to familiar places
- he forgets where he is going while on the way
