Live Home Despite All Obstacles

On November 7, several trucks gathered around Jerry and Neita White’s home in Clark County, Las Vegas.

Jerry White is an 83-year-old World War II veteran who suffered from several emergency surgeries and strokes in the last couple of years. He spent over 20 years working at the Nevada Test Site and has encountered a series of accidents during his working years.

Various firefighters from the said organization went out of their busy lives to help build a $3,000 worth wheelchair ramp. Paul Martin, founder of Nevadans for Equal Access, which is a nonprofit organization, saw through the careful creation of the ramp, which lasted over a day. He said that out of the 12 projects they did, this wheelchair ramp was the hardest and longest to finish.
